Full-time live-in Butler sought for a renewed stunning property in Tuscany. The Butler will oversee the day to day operation of the house and care of the family and guest.
The candidate will have the goal of managing the property whilst the EM will be travelling to other ones.
Under the supervision of the Estate Manager and supported by the housekeeping team the ideal candidate profile has to match and accomplish the following skills and duties:
Responsibilities
- Meet the principals when they arrive and getting guests settled in their rooms
- Carry luggage for guests on arrival to the room or the door of the room
- Have a thorough understanding of all spirits
- Assess and restock wine and spirit collections as necessary (according with the EM)
- Serve meals (at least breakfast, lunch, aperitif & dinner) and pour drinks for guests
- Anticipate needs by learning preferences, allergies, dislikes, etc.
- Must know how to do a family service, silver service and follow the protocol
- Know how to set up for the perfect afternoon tea
- Supervise the housekeeping team
- Communicate with housekeepers to ensure rooms are cleaned at the most convenient time
- Care of clothing
- Care of silver & crystals
- Care of the inventories (wine cellar, spirits, cigars)
- Set up cigar lounge, knowledge of cigar maintenance and history
- Ensure guests’ rooms are clean and tidy up when necessary
- Recommend and arrange amenities for guests (according with the EM)
- Remain well-groomed at all times
- Keep up-to-date on all hotel policies on safety and hygiene
- Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism and a pleasant demeanour
to oversee contractors
- Enable/disable the alarm system every day
Requirements:
- Italian language is a must
- Experience as a Butler or similar role in the hospitality industry
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Excellent organization
- Ability to adapt to a fluid environment
- Commitment to a high level of customer service
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion
- Knowledge of food and wine pairings
Salary: approximately 60. 000 to 70. 000 Euro g. p. a.
Holidays: 26 days per annum plus National holidays
Excellent references required as well as background security check
