Dear families
As an experienced Montessori / TEFL teacher for over 2 years, and having worked previously over 2, 5 years as a nanny in France, I have decided to go back to the private childcare sector in hopes of finding a family where my academic and childcare qualifications can help children thrive.
I am a strong advocate for the Montessori philosophy and I think where this can be the most beneficial is the home where I can model, teach, and show children the value of a peaceful and autonomous education not just academically but in all aspects of their life. My role as an adult is not to force and control behavior but to guide them through modeling and teaching them natural consequences.
I bring a comprehensive set of skills that I believe will be valuable to being a private nanny and tutor. In my Enseignante Montessori / TEFL role in a 6-12 classroom, I honed my abilities in mathematics, language, history and natural sciences, as well as observation and classroom management, providing a firm foundation in terms of academic support and pedagogical approach.
In my Nanny role for several French families, I gained experience in managing the children's schedule, household upkeep ( including doing the groceries and cooking well-balanced seasonal dinners) academic support and learning English as a foreign language.
In both roles I have special experience with behavior management for children who are in need of extra support emotionally or academically, I have worked with children diagnosed with HP, TDAH, Autisme, and various discipline issues, leading to an improvement in their behavior and or academic situation.
My interpersonal, people-centric nature, and compassion have afforded me excellent communication skills with children and adults alike.
