We are a responsible, retired, ex-South African couple, who now lives in the Var.
Bobby is a young 70 and Deirdré 56 years, and are both fit and healthy.
Bobby is a qualified Dentist, holding a B. Sc. B. ch. D degree in Stellenbosch South Africa.
After he completed his degree he gained 2 years experience in the South African Defence force.
Deirdré has experience in marketing, baking, food and restaurants.
We have 6 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
We both also have extensive experience in the restaurant industry- which means we are both excellent cooks.
Our restaurants were, Ocean Basket and Cubana.
a Seafood restaurant and a Cuban restaurant. Both seated more than 250 guests and were located in Hermanus.
We also lived on a farm in South Africa, where we did day to day duties tending our animals and daily farming responsibilities.
In 2018 we sold everything in South Africa and decided to walk the Camino route from St Jean -pied-du-port to Santiago. A route which is just over 940km and took us a little over a month to walk.
We own a campervan and have done extensive travels in Europe since 2020.
We are now ready for our next adventure, and feel we can contribute so much to anyone who would need out skills and personalities.
